相隔64年，巴西再度主辦世界盃，雖然賽前的準備工作並不完善，但改變不了巴西每一次都是奪冠大熱門的事實，這次他們想要再自己家裡舉起世足金盃，必須仰賴攻擊重心Neymar。

在今天開幕戰前的記者會，這名巴賽隆納的前鋒信心滿滿，表示「時候終於來到」，似乎迫不及待要上場大顯身手。

Neymar所表現成熟度，遠遠超過他的年紀，雖然大賽即將到來，他也沒有感覺到一絲一毫的緊張。

巴西技術顧問Carlos Alberto Pareira就說，「大家在這裡看到的Neymar，還有平常訓練的時候，他總是看起來非常輕鬆，你看不出來他將是巴西世界盃地主隊的主力球員，背負著所有人的期待，這反倒讓我們感覺到，他會在大賽中表現出最高水平。」

「每個人都會問我Neymar的問題，他到底有多好，而且他只有22歲，」Carlos Alberto Pareira說，「但您們看得出來嗎？他看起來有一點點害怕嗎？一點也不會。」

Neymar本人則說：「我希望進決賽的過程能夠越快越好，雖然也會擔心，但覺得很幸福，因為這是大家期待已久的比賽，」
