運動家隊用捕手 John Jaso以及2名小聯盟球員，與光芒隊交換內野手Ben Zobrist以及游擊手Yunel Escobar。

33歲的Ben Zobrist過去9年都效力於光芒隊，曾守過二壘、游擊以及右外野，也曾2次入選明星賽，去年球季打擊率2成72、全壘打10支、打點52分。

另外，光芒隊將用1年750萬美元的合約簽下內野手Asdrubal Cabrera，他去年效力印地安人隊及國民隊。
