在伊斯蘭國殺害日本人質「後藤健二」後，後藤之前在推特網站上發表的推文，迅速被網友轉推。

後藤先前在推特上曾經寫遛「閉上眼睛，凝神忍耐，一旦是動氣或是怒吼，那就完了；而教會我這一點的，是阿拉伯的兄弟們。」

後藤健二在另一則推特上也寫說：「採訪現場不需要眼淚。我的使命是實事求是、一絲不苟地記錄，傳達人類的愚昧、醜陋、無理、悲哀和生命的危機。」

後藤健二的這些推特，到這個月四號為止，已經轉發超過四萬次。
