蘋果公司2014年度總共花560億美元在買回自家股票，規模在標普500成分公司中高居第一，是排名第二的IBM買回192億美元的近三倍。

在9月底結束的年度第4季，蘋果斥資170億美元實施庫藏股，該數字已於10月時披露，當時外界估計，蘋果2014年度至少花450億美元買回自家股票，但FactSet最新公布的數據顯示，蘋果買回的金額還更高。

蘋果2012年3月首度發放股利和實施庫藏股計畫，當時並承諾未來三年將花450億美元買自家股票；2013年，蘋果把買回計畫擴大到1,000億美元。

今年4月，蘋果再度宣布擴大買回股票規模，同時進行1股換7股的股票分割計畫。外界預期，在億萬富豪艾康等股東力促下，明年3月蘋果可能再宣布新庫藏股計畫。
