（中央社雪梨19日綜合外電報導）澳洲廣播公司（ABC）今天報導，由於醫院太平間拒絕讓1名肥胖死者停屍，以致承辦葬禮業者必須將這具200公斤男子遺體載回車上過夜。

澳洲西北部的皮柏勒葬禮服務公司（PilbaraFuneral Services）共有人康明茲（Joanne Cummings）表示，她開了2小時才把靈車開回家，並且把車上冷氣開到最強。

康明茲向澳洲廣播公司表示：「我必須從醫院調頭，然後開2小時回到位於（澳洲西部城市）羅本（Roebourne）的家，讓他在我車上過夜。」

康明茲說：「我得把車上冷氣全部打開，且每隔半小時就查看一次，隔天早上我們找來1個裝有冷氣的海運貨櫃。」

康明茲說，這不是黑德蘭衛生醫院分院（HedlandHealth Campus hospital）首次拒收體積較大的遺體。

她表示，院方去年也拒收1名250公斤的男性遺體，以「他太胖了，冰櫃擺不進去」婉拒。
