中研院揪農桿菌殺菌分解酶　登國際期刊

中研院植物暨微生物學研究所副研究員賴爾珉研究團隊，研究普遍存在於土壤中的植物腫瘤病原細菌「農桿菌」，首度發現農桿菌在特定時機，會把一種名為Tde的DNA分解酶蛋白質，注射到所接觸到的其他細菌競爭對手的細胞內，以分解競爭對手的DNA，確保自己在植物宿主內的生存優勢。此發現有助農業改良研究，成果登上7月《細胞宿主與微生物》期刊，更被選為預覽文章。

賴爾珉表示，本研究成果有兩大重要突破，除發現農桿菌這一組DNA分解酶為細菌攻防戰武器外，更首度發現第六型分泌系統及其效應分子可增進病原性細菌在植物宿主中的生存競爭優勢。

賴爾珉說，此種DNA分解酶毒素Tde及同源免疫蛋白質Tdi，廣泛存在於革蘭氏陰性及陽性動植物病原細菌基因組中，研究成果有利未來在農業改業改良、新藥開發上。（陳威廷／台北報導）
