嘉義縣慈善團體幫78歲的邱阿公整修年老失修的屋子，即使這次蘇力颱風來襲，邱家一家三口都不怕，阿公說：「每次下起大雨，我就開始擔心了！但現在我連颱風天也不再害怕了！」。

邱阿公因中風半身肢體障，跟糖尿病切除了右小腿的老婆及罹患肝癌的兒子，居住在老祖先所留下來的老舊祖厝中，因屋齡年久失修，抵不過強烈海風的侵蝕，屋頂上的屋瓦殘破不勘，屋簷下的柱子也爆出腐銹的鐵條。

嘉義縣慈善團體聯合協會理事長吳容輝獲知，獲得文財殿附屬文通慈善會、紅十字會嘉義縣支會等七個單位援助。幫邱家整修房子，不用再因颱風而提心吊膽。吳容輝說，一人的力量難以推動大石，需要集結眾人的力量來協助個案度過困難期。
