淡海輕軌今動工，新北市長朱立倫出席動土典禮，被媒體問到，外界說連勝文選舉靠爸爸，而朱立倫是靠岳父，朱立倫說，他從選立法委員到桃園縣長，從來都沒有這種說法，是最近選舉才有的事。

朱立倫表示，桃園人都知道，他是農村和眷村長大的小孩，也是從那裡發跡，且不管是市長、市議員都應為了市政來努力，不是為選舉，因為市民也不是為了選舉而選你，是為了市政而選你，每一項工程和建設都是市民的期待。
