壹週刊報導，台北地檢署偵辦張顯耀謝密案，８月間指揮調查局國安站人員搜索張在大直的住處，但當天卻沒有扣到機密文件，也沒有外傳的傳真文件；檢方攤出調查局掌握的洩密事證逐一訊問，張也對答如流，看不出有洩密跡象，最後檢察官恐怕只有不起訴一途。

調查局上午發新聞稿指出，全案已報北檢指揮，後續偵辦作為將配合北檢辦理，相關狀況由北檢統一對外說明，調查局不便評論。北檢則表示，目前還在偵辦階段，不方便對外說明。
