【捷運殺人】民眾捨身擋兇嫌　馬英九：這才是真台灣

台北捷運昨發生殺人事件，總統馬英九今表示，在治安一向良好的台灣，發生了如此震驚全國的捷運隨機殺人事件，他的心情非常非常沉痛，他跟所有國人一樣，無法接受並嚴厲譴責這樣的冷血殺戮，也向受害者及家屬致上哀悼慰問。

總統說，昨天慘案發生時，有勇敢的民眾挺身而出，以雨傘甚至肉身擋在兇嫌面前，保護其他民眾，「我們相信，絕大多數國人即便在危難時，都會向彼此伸出援手。這是我們台灣最可貴的資產，我們大家必須彼此扶持，守望相助，這才是真正的台灣」。
 
馬總統已經要求各級政府給予受害家庭最立即、最周全的協助，也強烈要求增強各級防護措施。這是一件不幸的個案，政府譴責暴力，也會更加警惕，增加警力保護民眾安全，全力杜絕類似事件的發生。（陳郁仁／台北報導）
